What a gem of a place! The hotel/guest house was cozy and had a lovely room with a beautiful view of the surrounding woods. We were pleasantly surprised when they allowed us to bring our cat along, and he had a great time watching the birds from the balcony. The owner was incredibly welcoming, even leaving gifts outside our door on December 6th, which was a delightful German tradition. Another plus was its convenient location, just a short drive to the town and close to the ski lifts. And let me tell you, the value for money here was outstanding!
Honestly, there wasn't much to dislike about our stay. The only small inconvenience was the distance from the hotel to the main town.

The location was great, just a short drive away from the ski lifts. Being close to the slopes made it convenient for us to enjoy our winter activities. the room we stayed in had a lovely view overlooking the woodland, adding to the tranquility of our stay. the owner was extremely welcoming and even surprised us with gifts outside our door as part of a German tradition.
The service at the hotel could have been improved.

Found a small family hotel/guest house, with a lovely room to stay in that overlooked the woodland. Our cat was allowed to come, which made the experience even better, as they enjoyed the balcony and watching the birds. the staff was welcoming, leaving gifts outside our door on December 6th to honour the German tradition. the hotel was in close proximity to ski lifts, and only a short drive into the nearby town.
We had some issues. Maybe the standards for cleaning were not up to par and the hygiene was questionable, which made us a bit uneasy.

Very friendly and good breakfast in the morning. We would book it agian if we are going to Hahnenklee. Good location, close to the woods and good hiking,- and bikingtrails.

The owners were very very friendly and helped us in every way. The facilities were excellent with everything we needed, including an oven for cooking food. The balcony was so nice, we would love to have breakfast there next time we visit (the weather now was not so good).
Wifi was included in the price but it was not working properly.
